This was my first experience in a webinar with the Online Learning Consortium and the topic was one of my favorites: Digital Mentorship Literacy.  Mehl and Luanne gave an enthusiastic presentation on how such mentorship can benefit both learners and faculty in a number of different ways. 

As I said in my comment (above), I have used a very similar approach in teaching academic writing to EFL students in Korea and they absolutely love it! They can play, pause, and replay my video commentary as often as they need and not lose face in front of their classmates by having to publicly admit that they don’t understand me.  It’s great to see that there is now some additional data that fully supports what my students and I have been doing! 🙂
